GUWAHATI, Jan 19: Preparations for the firest-even Luitporiya Hindu Samabesh in the Northeast slated for January 21 at Khapara in Guwahati are going to be completed on Saturday. Around 2,000 RSS workers had to work overtime to get the job well accomplished.
The congregation – organized by the Uttar Assam Pranth of the RSS comprising the Brahmaputra Valley, Meghalaya and galand – is going to be a mammoth Hindu gathering where top leaders of the RSS, religious mentors including xatradhikars, tribal kings, ministers and other leaders are to be seen together. The 215-foot-long and 12-foot-high stage has sitting arrangements for five top RSS leaders flanked by religious mentors including xatradhikars in the right and ministers in the left. The stage is to have a 51-foot-high tiol Flag fluttering in the sky. Above the stage there will be LED screens to telecast the entire programme live. The field will also have screens here and there to telecast the programme.
Talking to this reporter, RSS’ Uttar Assam Pranth Prachar Pramukh Shankar Das said: “Our preparations for the Hindu somabesh are going to complete on January 20. Around 2,000 Sangh workers had to work overtime to get the job done, right from invitation to getting the stage ready.”
Giving details of the arrangement of the dais, Das said: “Top RSS leaders – Mohan Bhagawat, Dr. Krish Gopal Sharma, Duttareya, Bhagaiahji, Sunil Kulkarni and Sunil Deshpande – will sit in the middle to be flanked by 67 religious mentors including xatradhikars and kings in the right and ministers and other leaders in the left. The left side of the field (towards NH-37 side) will have 30,000 seats and as many as 8,100 RSS cadres in uniform will exhibit martial art in the middle. As soon as Bhagawat taking his seat on the dais there will be the flag hoisting, to be followed by the chorus by 35,000 RSS singers.”
Das said: “The Hindu Samabesh will be on January 21 at Khapara playground, to be followed by an organizatiol meeting to be concluded on January 22 at Moniram Dewan Trade Centre with our chief Mohan Bhatgawat. The meeting at Khapara is to get started at 2 pm and conclude at 3.45 pm. Bhawagatji is going to deliver an hour-long lecture. There will be a meeting of RSS karyakartas at the meeting venue where Sanghachalaks are to remain present. The organizatiol meeting will be held at the Trade Centre from 6.30 pm of January 21 to 4 pm of January 22. Around 1,000 non-resident RSS karyalartas, among others, are going to take part at the organizatiol meeting.”
The karyakarta meeting is a tiol-level meeting of the RSS that is held every year at different places. This time around, Maniram Dewan Trade Centre in Guwahati has been chosen as the venue for the meeting, and the Luitporia Hindu Samabesh has been organized in sync with the organizatiol meeting, Das said, and added: “In order to make the rally a success the Sangh is keeping in touch with 25,000 families and 15,000 of them will provide five packets of launch each.”
