Rubber clone developed for cultivation in Northeast

GUWAHATI, Oct 14: Union Commerce and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is going to iugurate the 9th annual rubber conference of the Association of tural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC) in Guwahati on October 17. She will release a new tural rubber clone developed by the Rubber Research Institute of India for its exclusive cultivation in the Northeast, at the conference.

State Agriculture Minister Atul Bora will receive the seedling of the clone, first of its kind from the Rubber Board of India, from the Union minister at the conference.
