Safety for puja

GUWAHATI, Sept 19: Kamrup(M) District Administration Kamrup has observed that in and around Guwahati city most of the Durga Puja committees are erecting temporary decorative structures that may collapse, leading to accidents. DC M Angamuthu has directed all Durga Puja committees to construct such structures adhering to proper structural safety norms of the competent authorities like PWD (B), Fire & Emergency Services, GMC, Pollution Control Board and GMDA and to acquire safety certificates from these departments before constructing such structures, failing which legal action may be taken.
