Sangeet Parishad aims to preserve Indian art

GUWAHATI, Oct 23: “The Sarbabharatiya Sangeet-O- Sanskriti Parishad (SSSP) aims to preserve and promote the rich tradition of art & culture,” SSSP secretary Kajal Sengupta told the newsmen in a press meet here today. “SSSP imparts regular training to the students pursuing various streams of Indian art & culture, conducts annual examitions and evaluates their progress in its 11-year course to confer certificates. The Parishad grooms students either as a performer or to be a qualified teacher,” Sen further said. “SSSP holds workshops for reaching out to greater section of the people for developing consciousness, taste and interest in various branches of art and culture. It publishes monthly tabloid, books and records as educatiol aids,” Sen added.
