Segun and sand-laden trucks seized

GUWAHATI, Dec 17: The Forest Department, in an over- night operation, seized two Segun-laden and nine Sand-laden trucks along the tiol Highway 37 in the city and at Mirza respectively. The Segun which are of 38 cubic metre in length will be amounting to 75 lakh.

The 12-wheeled trucks bearing numbers 01 EU 1575 and A S 01 DD 0779 respectively were said to have been coming from Mizoram and are bound for lower Assam. The 9 sand-laden trucks were coming from Kukurmara and South Kamrup to Guwahati.
