Self-attestation and self-declaration in non-statutory matters

GUWAHATI, February 24: The State Government has decided to introduce with immediate effect self-attestation of origil documents in lieu of attestation by gazetted officers/magistrates etc., in all cases except where there is statutory requirement. This order also pertains to self-declaration in place of submission of affidavits. This initiative by the Government of Assam is to simplify government procedures and to promote citizen centric administration, a press release said.
