Self-styled AIUDF poll candidates!

By our Staff Reporter
GUWAHATI, Oct 20: The AIUDF has been facing an unprecedented problems in the State -- the problem of self-styled party candidates for the 2016 Assembly elections. According to party sources, a number of leaders of the party have started poll campaign in their respective Legislative Assembly Constituencies (LACs) using their party symbol -- lock and key. So much so that, some of the self-styled candidates have pasted posters with party symbol in their respective LACs. The situation has come to such a pass that the party has to issue a note of warning to such self-proclaimed candidates. AIUDF Legislature Party (AIUDFLP) leader and party’s general secretary Hafis Basir Amhed Kashimi has wanrned a number of such party leaders who have already started poll campaign with their self-proclaimed candidature. He said: “The party has received many complaints that a number of its leaders have been busy in poll campaign in their respective LACs with the use of party symbols claiming themselves as party’s official candidates. The AIUDF hasn’t given party tickets to nobody as yet. We have decided to take punitive action against the erring party leaders. I also warn those who are involved in the campaign not to use the AIUDF symbol, or else the party won’t spare them.”
