Session on demonetization at RGS

GUWAHATI, Nov 30: Dr. Nirupam Bajpai, special advisor to the executive vice president for Global Centres and Global Development, visited Royal Global School (RGS) to speak about the subject in everybody’s mind – demonetization. In an interactive session he cleared all doubts about the ‘subject of discussion’ that came to all Indians as a shock on December 8, 2016. He strongly supported the step taken by the government and said that 86 per cent of the currency circulation in India is black money, which could have been invested in sectors that are starving in public fince for proper growth of the Indian economy, a press release said. According to him, this step is definitely going to purify the system and lead to a future where the most affected now is going to be the most benefited. He claims that this new implementation is going to create history. He makes an appeal to all Indians that they should be resilient and patient to make it sustain. The programme ended with a question-and-answer session amongst the magement, students and the guest with an extended period of time on this most interesting and burning topic.
