SFI discusses semester 'issues' with teachers' bodies

GUWAHATI, Sept 21: In a bid to remove the drawbacks of semester examitions in Assam colleges, the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) on Tuesday held a meeting with Assam College Teachers’ Association, Principal Council and University authorities at Guwahati University on Wednesday, stated a SFI release.

The meeting discussed at length about the drawbacks of semester examitions, infrastructure development of colleges, timely announcement of exam results, ensuring a minimum of 90-day class in every colleges across the state, anomalies in result declaration and holding re-examition within 45 days for candidates who failed in a few subjects, stated SFI (Assam Unit) President Kashyap Chaudhury and Secretary Nirangkush th in the release.

The meeting was attended by Gauhati University Vice Chancellor Mridul Hazarika, AASU delegation apart from Chaudhury, th and Joint Secretary of the federation Sangeeta Das, the release further stated.
