GUWAHATI, Oct 22: Save Guwahati Build Guwahati (SGBG) today reminded the Centre and the people of Assam SGBG’s memorandum that had been submitted to the government seeking constitutiol safeguard of the people of Assam. “The memorandum was signed by various delegates of the State, along with leaders of ethnic groups. Minister of State of Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju even acknowledged the memorandum. This memorandum is important for the greater Assamese identity,” SGBG president Dhiren Baruah said while addressing the press in the city today. SGBG vice president Ajay Dutta, general secretary Kailash Sharma and others were also present at the press meet.
