GUWAHATI, Sept 23: As the city police and the district administration are on its toes to maintain law and order in the city during the Durga Puja, organizations such as Save Guwahati Build Guwahati (SGBG) have also sought public support and cooperation for the same. To ensure a safe and hassle-free ambience during the festival, the SGBG has requested the public to support the traffic administration in abiding by the traffic rules laid down by the authority. Besides, it has also sought citizens’ support in keeping the city clean. Moreover, it has asked the puja committees to prohibit alcohol consumption near the pandals, stated a press release.
