GUWAHATI, May 28: Rajya Sabha Deputy Leader of Opposition And Sharma, who was former Union Minister, said that there were not even ten lakh job generation in the country in the past three years, let alone six crore as promised by rendra Modi in the run-up to the Lok Sabha election.

Addressing the media in the city today, Sharma said: “The government is out to confuse the people on the GDP. While the government claims it to be over seven per cent, the RBI says it to be 6.6 per cent. We want the government to publish a white paper on employment generation and GDP rise. The economy of the tion grew by 11 per cent when the Congress was in power for ten years. The Modi Government failed to end corruption. The foreign policy is dismal. The government also failed to live up to the expectations of the people. The public money is being spent for the Prime Minister’s persolity makeover. The country is above the persolity of its Prime Minister. Modi never makes mention of the contribution made by Jawaharlal Nehru. He only makes mention of Deendayal Upadhay who wasn’t a freedom fighter. He had no contribution to Quit India movement. The Indo-Pak relationship over Kashmir has worsened ever since Modi came to power. Modi takes all opportunities as photo opportunities, but diplomacy is not a photo opportunity. As many as 538 soldiers have been killed in the past three years, including over 200 in Kashmir.” Sharma termed Modi landing on Pakistan while on Afghanistan tour as a diplomatic blunder. “He wasn’t received in accordance with protocol at that visit, and that was an insult to India,” he said. Sharma said that the BJP government was yet to let the people of the tion know as to how much of the 15 lakh demonetized notes were recovered during the drive.
