Siksha Mitras set deadline

BY OUR STAFF REPORTER
GUWAHATI, Sept 19: The All Assam Siksha Mitra Gut on Friday called on Education Minister of Assam Sarat Borkotoky and apprised him of the various problems they have been facing. During the meeting the delegation also pressed the minister to announce the results of the Special TET held in October last. “It has been one year, but the government has not yet announced the results. We are now in a helpless position. So, we urge the government and the education department to announce the results of the Special TET at the earliest,” said Zakir Ahmed, president of the organization. “We doted our lands to build the Amar Parhahali (a school for remote areas). Though the schools have been provincialized, the government has not yet taken any stand to regularize our jobs. We urge the government to regularize our jobs by September 24 or else from September 26 we will start our agitations,” he added. The organization also submitted a memorandum to the education minister and urged him to address their demands at the earliest.
