Singing contest on Md Rafi songs

GUWAHATI, Dec 14: As in the past, this year also Md. Rafi Smriti Sangha(MRSS) will be celebrating the 93rd birth anniversary of Md. Rafi, the doyen of Indian playback singing, on December 24.

As part of the celebrations, the Sangha is organizing several singing contests on all-North East basis including competitions on Md. Rafi's songs, at the Shilpgram auditorium, Panjabari, here.

The competitions include Md. Rafi's songs – senior group (above 15 years) and junior group (up to 15 years); Jyoti Sangeet – only junior group (up to 15 years); and songs under the music composition of Ramen Baruah – senior group (above15 years).
