Skill development centre for drivers opened

GUWAHATI, Oct 18: State Labour Minister Pallab Lochan Das iugurated a 100-seat drivers’ training centre at Rehabari in the city today.

The 45-day training course comprises soft and behavioural skill of drivers, apart from driving, so as to make them passenger or traveller-friendly. The course has been sponsored by IOC, Guwahati, in association with the Directorate of Employment and Craft Training. All the 30 youths who have been enrolled in the first batch of the centre are from the vicinity of Guwahati Refinery.

IOC executive director Jogen Borpujari and Employment and Craft Training Director Rituraj Bora were also present at the iugural function today.
