'Skill development department soon'

GUWAHATI, July 15:  On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day today an interactive session on skill development to improve Youth Employment was held at ITI for women at Rehabari here today.

Speaking on the occasion, Labour and Employment Minister Pallab Lochan Das said: "There are more than 20 lakh unemployed youth in the state. Such a huge number of unemployed youth of the state will have to be employed soon in a planned way as part of the governments’ prior agenda so that the per capita income can be increased,” he said and laid stress on opening of a skill development department in the State.
