Smart India Hackathon 2018 file held

Guwahati, March 30: The iguration ceremony of the file of Smart India Hackathon 2018 was held today at Girijanda Choudhury Institute of Magement and Technology. Jasvantsinh Sumanbhai Bhabhor, Minister of State for Tribal Affairs were present as the Chief Guest of the event. Mridul Hazarika, the vice chancellor of Guwahati University, Krish Gohain, Director of Directorate of Technical Education, Ratul Das, president of SSA Society and Prof Sushanta Kumar Dutta, Principal of Girijanda Choudhury Institute of Magement and Technology were also present in the programme. The programme started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest and the other dignitaries. Thgis was stated in a PIB press release.

Ratul Das, President of the SSA Society, gave the welcome address followed by an encouraging speech by Mridul Hazarika who said, “Digital India is the future of the country. Healthy competition among the innovative young minds will lead towards a healthy society.” Jasvantsinh Sumanbhai Bhabhor in his speech said, “India is a young country. It is praiseworthy that the young generation of India is trying to solve the real problems of the country through their innovative minds.”  Addressing the students present in the programme, he stated that everybody has the right to dream and everybody has the capacity to make that dream into a reality.

Smart India Hackathon is a path breaking addition to the history of science and technology in India. This is the world’s largest tion building digital initiative of the MHRD, leading to the students to think out of the box and offer innovative ideas, the release added.
