SMSS demands rollback of B Ed fee hike

GUWAHATI, Aug 25:  The Satra Mukti Sangram Samiti (SMSS) has demanded State Education Minister Himanta Biswa to rollback the fees hike of B Ed course. Addressing a press conference here today SMSS president Bitu Sonowal said, “We have staged several rounds of protest against fees hike of B Ed courses and on other issues during the last two years but the education department has not taken any steps to decrease the fees.” He said that many B Ed colleges in the state have hiked admission fees at their whims and fancies but the state Education department has not taken any steps to control these colleges.
