Sonitpur gets Saakshar Bharat award

GUWAHATI, Sept 8: The Sonitpur District was adjudged as the best district in India in terms of promoting literacy among the non-literates. The district was conferred with the Saakshar Bharat Award today by the President Prab Mukherjee at a function held at the Vigyan Bhawan. The award was received by Partha Majumdar, Joint Secretary of Education Department and Munindra Sarma, CEO, Zila Parishad, Sonitpur.
