Sonowal attends k Jayanti

GUWAHATI, Nov 14: Saying that the Guru k’s birthday celebrations is the occasion to remember the teachings of the great founder of Sikhism, Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal said that the saint that had founded a religion based on equality, fraterl love, goodness, and virtue.

While attending the Guru k Jayanti celebration programme at Sree Guru k tiol High School in the city today Chief Minister Sonowal said that the Sikh community is a very hardworking community and they are a part of the greater Assamese society. He appealed to the members of the community to become part of the growth story of the state and come forward to make Assam one of the best states in the country. He said that the teachings of Guru k would always serve as a guiding light to keep intact the unity and harmony among the various communities of the state.
