Sonowal fails Gogoi test!

GUWAHATI, June 3: Former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has said that the Sarbanda Sonowal Government Dispur has failed on all fronts in the past one year. The former Chief Minister addressed the press in the city today. When reporters asked as to what credit he would like give to the Sonowal Government’s one year in office, Gogoi retorted: “How come you talk of credit? It’s an irrelevant question. Ask me if the government will pass or fail. In my test he has failed utterly on all fronts. Activities by militants have been up. Jehadis and the ULFA have raised their heads again. Where’s the issue of development that was highlighted before the election. Development has slowed down. What’s happened to the poll slogan, ‘Sarbanda, sokolore anda’. Now all are sad.” The BJP said before the poll that they would deport all foreigners from the State. “However, after coming to power, they’re trying to bring Bangladeshis to the State by bringing amendment to the Citizenship Act. This has made it amply clear that the BJP speaks something before the poll and speaks something else after coming to power,” he said.
