Special DGP (l & 0) lays  stress on police-public ties

AZARA, Jan 3: Special DGP (law and order) Kuladhar Saika has said that cleanliness is essentially a part of Assamese culture which is why all roads in front of houses in the State leading to main roads are clean.

The police officer said this while addressing a public meeting at Azara police station on Wednesday. The meeting was largely attended by leading citizens, citizens’ committee members, VDP members and others.

Saikia appealed to all to improve police-public relations in the State. The meeting was aimed at boosting police-public relations in view of the Republic Day and the intertiol investors' summit going to be held in Guwahati. The meeting was also attended by Guwahati Commissioner of Police Hiren Chandra th, DCP West Mridulanda Sarma, revenue circle officer Maharshi Kashyap, leading citizens Tarun Medhi, Bhupen Barua, Chandra Kumar Das and Nipumoni Rajbongshi.
