Special postage cover & stamp for Marwari Hospital

GUWAHATI, July 9: Shree Marwari Databya Aushadhalaya has something to celebrate tomorrow when the Postal Department is going to release a special postal cover and a stamp in its me at a function at Pragjyoti ITA Centre of Performing Arts, Machkhowa in the city on the occasion of the concluding ceremony of its centery year.

Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal will grace the occasion as the chief guest while State Chief Secretary VK Pipersania will be the guest of honour at the function. Chief Post Master General BB Dave, MLA Ramendra rayan Kalita, Padmashree Dr. Saumitra Rawat of Sri Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi, and others will remain present at the function.

The Aushadhalaya that has been rendering health services to the poorer section of society has Marwari Maternity Hospital and Marwari Hospital and Research Centre under it.

Tomorrow, programmes like felicitation of people and physicians who have rendered and have been rendering valuable charitable services through the Aushadhalaya still now will be held. A souvenir comprising the 100-year journey of the institute will also be released on the occasion. The function will also present life-time achievement awards to three physicians of the hospital – Dr. Subhash Jain, Dr. Archa Mazumdar and Dr. Ashok Beria – and three others – Dr. Alaka Goswami, Dr. Amrit Beria and Dr. GC Jain – for their respective contributions, said the Aushadhalaya’s general secretary Anil Jai while addressing the press today.
