Special session on GST Bill

GUWAHATI, April 19: The Assam Assembly is going to hold a special session on May 8, 9 and 11, 2017 for a discussion on the Assam State GST Bill, 2017. A notification to this effect was issued by the Governor today. Assam is the first State in the country to have ratified the GST Bill on August 12, 2016. The GST Bill is going to be effective from June 1 this year as it has already been passed by the Parliament.
