GUWAHATI, March 20: The Asom Sangrami Chah Shramik Sangha (ASCSS), together with the CPI(M-L), staged a demonstration at Dighalipukhuripar in the city in support of their demand for speeding up the inquiry into the killing of Gangaram Kaul. In a memorandum to the Chief Minister submitted through the Kamrup(M) Deputy Commissioner today they said that unlike the previous Congress government in the State the present dispensation at Dispur should speed up the inquiry into the killing of Kaul, a leader of labourers. He was killed on March 25, 2013. Following demands from the Sangha, the then Congress Government did announced CBI inquiry into the killing. However, there is no progress in the inquiry. The Sangha feels that no progress in the CBI inquiry into the killing is a mystery.
