SSB jawan, fake police SI abduct youth

GUWAHATI, Oct 30: A person impersoting as a police SI and an SSB jawan abducted a youth, Raju Khan, from Notboma in the Hatigaon area last night. The duo took away Khan in an I10 car and then demanded Rs 10,000 for his safe release. Samir Ali, a friend of Raju Khan, informed the police of the incident. The police rescued Raju Khan from Bodoland House at Khapara last night. The police also arrested the two abductors and the driver of the car. The two abductors have been identified as SSB jawan Abdul Rahman of Sorupeta and fake police SI Sanjib Boro, hailing from Japorigog. The driver is Jakiruddin Sheikh from Boko.
