Staccato beats rend Shilpgram air

GUWAHATI, Jan 18: Over 150 members of 11 dance troupes from different States presented their traditiol dance forms in the presence of a decent crowd at Shilpgram in the city today. Yak dance from Aruchal Pradesh; Bihu and Bhortal, dance from Assam; Dhol/ Pung Cholam and Raasa Leela dance from Manipur; Shad Shule Mynsiem dance from Meghalaya; Cheraw from Mizoram, Warrior Dance from galand; Sangini from Sikkim; Hozagiri from Tripura; Puruli Chau dance from West Bengal; Goti Pua from Orissa and Oram Dance from Jharkhand were presented on the occasion. Simultaneously a quiz competition and puppet shows as part of children’s creativity event were organized on the occasion.
