Stage set for PM's visit

GUWAHATI, 25: The Kamrup (M) district administration has made elaborate arrangements for Prime Minister rendra Modi’s visit to Guwhati on Friday. The Prime Minister will address a mass rally at Khapara Veteriry field to be organized on the occasion of the completion of first year of Assam Government. Prior to that, Modi will lay the foundation stone for AIIMS at Sarusajai stadium complex here.

District administration officials said that full-fledged reception arrangements at the airport with standard security and access as per the protocol has been made. Elaborate security arrangements have been put in place at Khapara Veteriry field and Sarusajai stadium complex.

As many as 300 temporary toilets have been installed at the venue besides arrangement of drinking water facilities.

Volunteers will be given by the Party at least 3000 of them to take care of veteriry field.

Parking arrangements for the people coming to the rally have been arranged at Greenwood resort, Sai Baba Complex, VIP road, Patarkuchi field, Basistha temple field, Tripura road, Beltola Bazar road, Bongaon field, Lokhra Bazar field, Lokhra-Lalganesh road, Khapara PWD road, Research Gate to Prison Gate, AASC field and at Water Resource field.

On the other hand, BJP tiol general secretary Ram Madhab, state BJP president Ranjit Dass, ministers Himanta Biswa Sarma and Chandra Mohan Patowary along with party workers visited the Khapara Veteriry field and took stock of the preparations of the programme.
