State BJP recalls Deendayal

GUWAHATI, Sept 25: The State BJP remembered party ideologue Pundit Deendayal Upadhyay on his 101st birth anniversary in all district, mandal and booth levels in the State on Monday.
At Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan in the city, Upadhyay was remembered at a function organized by Booth 81 under Dispur LAC. A memorial meeting was held on the occasion where State BJP secretary Dipluranjan Sarma spoke on the ideology and philosophy of Upadhyay who was the founder general secretary of Ja Sangh. Upadhyaya, Sarma said, had worked for the Bharatiya Jata Sangha since its inception till his death.
There was a lecture programme on ‘Deendayal Upadhyay and Bharatiya Jata Party’. Former State BJP general secretary Pradip Thakuria delivered a speech on the topic. 
All district and mandal offices of the party, including Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan, lighted 101 flames in memory of Upadhyay.
