Street beggars removed, resettled

GUWAHATI, March 18: The street beggars in front of Shukreswar mandir of the city were removed today and resettled by the district authority.

There were total 29 beggars in front of the mandir. They were removed and given to some NGOs to resettle them. The NGOs are ICCW, BARD, EPCP and Golaghat Mahila Nirman Got. According to a press release, Kamrup ADC Sarmistha Bora, Guwahati revenue circle officer Lakhmindan Saharia and attached circle officer Susap Kakoty supervise the removal of the beggars.
