GUWAHATI, Sept 23: Like every year, this year too, October 1 will be observed as Assam Police Day. With the aim of maintaining cooperation and good relations between the Police and the public, Assam Police Day is celebrated every year throughout the state. In a buildup to the occasion, a number of street plays were organized across Guwahati on September 22. With the theme of “Coordition between Public and Police and Road Safety”, street plays were organized in Maligaon, Pan Bazar, Chandmari, Ganeshguri, 6 Mile and Ulubari. The street plays drew large crowds in each of these locations and were positively received by all the people.
