Strict vigil in city for R-Day

GUWAHATI, Jan 23: While security vigil has been intensified in Guwahati, Kamrup (M) district administration has been working overtime to prepare for the 69th Republic Day to be celebrated centrally at Khapara Veteriry College field in Guwahati. Governor Prof. Jagadish Mukhi is going to hoist the tiol Flag on the Republic Day.

DC M Angamuthu reviewed the preparations with district administration officials at a meeting in the city on Tuesday. He also took stock of the preparations for the celebrations at Khapara in the city, and asked the officials to speed up works. He asked all ADCs to make exclusive arrangements for senior citizens to be felicitated during the celebrations. He also asked the ADCs to make all arrangements for drinking water for people and food and medical facilities for those going to take part in the parade. Those going to take part in the Republic Day parade have been practicing now.
