Sueri Utsav ends

AZARA, May 5: The five-day Sueri Utsav that began at Aagsia near Dharapur Chariali on May 1 concluded today. Sueri Utsav is a festival celebrated every year in Bohag in Lower Assam depicting Dadhi Manthan (churning butter from curd) by Brajagopis in Gokul where Srikrish had his upbringing. The festival was iugurated by Aagsia Gaon Uinyan Samiti president Kushal Kalita on May 1. There were cultural processions with the idol of the Gossain, Srikrish Dadhi Manthan, melodramas, garaam, art competitions, essay competitions, release of a souvenir and etc., during the five days.
