Swach Bharat Abhiyan

GUWAHATI, Jan 25: rangi-based headquarters 51 Sub Area and local army units observed the Swach Bharat Abhiyan Saptah under the grand and noble pan tiol  cleanliness drive initiated by Prime Minister rendra Modi  with full enthusiasm, and a number of events were held to mark the event.

A painting competition for children was organized at vdeep Hall, 222 ABOD on January 23. The competition was organized under two age groups – under 12 years and 12 to 16 years of age. The theme was “My Favourite Cartoons” for children under 12 years and “Swach Bharat Abhiyan / Saving Water / Saving Electricity / Persol Hygiene & Cleanliness” for children between 12 and 16 years of age.

A total of 300 children participated from Kedriya Vidyalaya, rangi Cantt, APS Bashistha, RAPPS 222 ABOD, RAPPS 1 ABW along with children of other schools residing in rangi Cantt. Children were provided with chart paper and colours for their imagitive painting and  awards were given by Maj Gen AK Jha, GOC 51 Sub Area to the winning children.

A book fair was also organized at 222 ABOD from on January 23. Prominent book dealers of the city, including Arihant Publication, Eastern Book House and Scholastic participated in the fair with a variety of books on various fields of Hindi & English Fictions, Non Fictions, Cartoon, Competitive Exams, History, Psychology, Religion, Philosophy, Biography, Adventure, Education, Hindi Novels, General Knowledge, Higher Education, Wildlife & Animals, Gardening, Health & Sports, World History, Military Studies etc., a press release said.
