Swachh Bharat campaign by NDRF

GUWAHATI, May 7: The first tiol Disaster Response Force (NDRF) battalion deployed at Patgaon, Guwahati carried out a ‘Swachh Bharat Campaign’ by cleaning and launching the sanitation campaign at Gauhati Medical Collage & Hospital (GMCH) in the city from 8 and to 11 am today. Over 112 persol of NDRF and GMCH staff took part in the campaign. The campaign was officially launched on October 2, 2014 at Rajghat, New Delhi where Prime Minister rendra Modi  wielded the broom and cleaned a road. So NDRF on the footstep of the tiol campaign involved itself very actively in the Swachh Bharat Campaign. The NDRF battalion decided to make a massive public awareness and to ensure participation of the local community on the ‘Swachh Bharat’ movement while conducting familiarization exercise (Famex), Mock Exercise and Community Awareness Programme.
