‘Swachha Sarbekshan’ held

GUWAHATI, Dec 23: An awareness programme on ‘Swachha Sarbekshan’ was held in District Library here today. The awareness meeting was jointly organized by Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) and Guwahati district administration.  Guwahati Mayor Mrigen Sarania, Deputy Mayor Bijuli Kalita Medhi, Dispur MLA Atul Bora, State Additiol Chief Sectretary MGVK Bhanu, Kamrup (Metro) DC M Angamuthu, Guwahati Police Commissioner Hiren th, GMC Commissioner Sanjib Gohain Baruah, SDRF and NDRF commandments were the chief guests at the meeting. At the meeting, a Swaccha Sarbekshan (to clean the Guwahati city as soon possible) resolution was taken. Along with the councilors, representatives from the Area Sabhas, garik Samiti, NGOs, police stations and general public were present at the meeting.
