Swachhata Pakhwada by NHAI underway

GUWAHATI, Jan 16: tiol Highway Authority of India (NHAI is observing Swachhata Pakhwada from January 16 to 31, 2018 as a part of the Government of India’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’. To begin with, a pledge on Swachhata was administered at its regiol office, Guwahati and project implementation units at Bongaigaon, Guwahati, gaon, Haflong and Shillong. Chief general mager Raj Chakrabarty administered the oath at the regiol office, Guwahati and took part in cleaning of office premises along with officials and staff.  During the Pakhwada, NHAI will perform various activities like awareness programme, cleanliness drive, mega road cleaning event, shramdaan, litter free construction sites, display of Swachhata message through banners, posters, hoardings etc.  NHAI will also take steps to propagate the message of Swachh Bharat Mission for making the country neat and clean, a press release said.
