Swaswati feted

GUWAHATI, Nov 12:  Sadou Axom Unyan Parishad (SAUP) felicitated Swaswati Gogoi Chetia, who participated at Mrs. India Homemakers 2017 and won two sub tittles – Mrs. Seven Princess and Mrs. Devine – at a function at Guwahati Press Club  on Sunday.

Addressing the media, Chetia said: “I’m from Dhakuakha in Lakhimpur district. I was very passiote about my dreams since childhood. I applied for the audition and I got selected for the file.”

Swaswati did her Master’s from Cotton University and later she got a job as a lecture in a private college. Currently, she is pursuing her B. Ed degree. The event was held at Harya, Gurgoan on November 7. In the tiol costume round she represented Muga silk which was specially designed by her mother-in-law and gifted her in her marriage day. 

Adding she said: “I’m very happy. I’ve learnt a lot of things by joining the contest. Now I will groom myself to join the Mrs. Universe contest. I believe nothing is impossible if one works hard. I’m very lucky that my husband, in-laws, mother, father and every one support me in every step.”
