Syndicatraj more lethal than AK-47: Bora to CM

By our Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, Nov 13: Dispur MLA Atul Bora lauded Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal for his government’s bold step against corruption. He, however, reminded Sonowal the party’s poll agenda – making Assam free from corruption, free from foreigners, free from insurgents and free from pollution.
In a letter to the Chief Minister on Monday, Bora said: “The government should evict Bangladeshis encroaching upon lands in Assam and send them across the border or put them in detention camps. Even if local organizations evict them, the administration should back them.”
On pollution, Bora appealed to the Chief Minister to evict Star Cement from Samata in Sopur as the first step against pollution. “The cement plant has badly polluted Pabitora Reserve Forest,” he said. On insurgency, Bora: “Nowadays, syndicateraj is more lethal than AK-47 Rifles. The State Government should take steps against syndicates.”
