GUWAHATI, Aug 6: The Tiwa Autonomous Council (TAC) Chief Executive Member Dharmendra Bordoloi organized a face-to-face programme on the upcoming TAC poll on August 19 in a press conference in Dispur Press Club today.

Bordoloi said, “The Congress party will form the new council. There’s no chance for former CEM Ramakanta Deori, who was involved in various scandals and corruption. Due to Deori’s corruption, there was no developmental work in his tenure. Even Deori could not appoint any principal secretary due to his in-house problems and anomalies. He also spent Rs 60 lakh for his persol use which was actually sanctioned for nursing training of the council.”

Bordoloi later said, “I was also selected after a long court case. In my short tenure of two/three months, I have started some developmental projects and spent Rs 16 crore from the sanctioned money of Rs 43 crore and 90 lakh from state government for the development of the council.”
