Tai Sahitya Sabha delegation leaves for Thailand

GUWAHATI, Aug 19: A 16-member delegation of the Tai Sahitya Sabha led by Dr. Dayanda Borgohain left for Thailand on Wednesday, following an invitation from the universities of resuan and Chiang Mai in Phitsanuluk. During its visit the delegation will also attend a programme in an institute in Bangkok. The delegation is likely to discuss various issues and explore possibilities for cultural exchanges. It will also explore the possibilities of setting up a centre for cultural thoughts at Dibrugarh University in the future. It may be mentioned that the 16-member delegation also comprises of an 8-member cultural team led by Ji Rajkumari. The cultural troupe will showcase the vibrant culture of Assam in Bangkok. The 16-member delegation also includes Dr Pushpa Gogoi, Dr Hironi Borgohain and Dr Pradip Gogoi.
