Tale of a fan

GUWAHATI, Nov 5: Jesida Begum, a fan of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, beat rest of fans of the balladeer today. Coming from far off rikalguri in Dergaon, she was the first to have paid tribute to Dr. Hazarika at his Samadhi Khetra at Jalukbari in the city today.

She left Dergaon for Guwahati last night. She rushed for the Samadhi Khetra early in the morning soon after setting her feet on Guwahati. She had to wait for hours in front of the gate of the Samadhi Khetra till it was opened at 6 am. She had the taste of paying tribute to the maestro first in the State today.

This is no new record to her credit. In every birth and death anniversary of Dr. Hazarika after his demise, she continued to be the first to pay tribute to the celebrated singer.
