TAYPA says fake body declared awards

GUWAHATI, Sept 4: The Central committee of Tai Ahom Yuva Parishad, Assam (TAYPA) alleged today that the Lachit Award was declared yesterday by fake a committee. TAYPA president Chao Dilip Gogoi said in a statement: "We are presenting the Lachit Award to various persolities from last four years, and this year also will present the same. However, some expelled members from our organization conspired a plot and declared the fake award yesterday to create confusion among people. The me of forest man Jadav Payeng was involved in the fake announcement. We, therefore, clarifies about the fake statement about the award and request people not to believe in such fake information."
