Guwahati, Feb 9: The Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) introduced two new softwares for tracking ASTC buses and issuing tickets.
ASTC Maging Director And Prakash Tiwari said this in a press conference here today.
Tiwari said that the corporation will also set up two ASTC bus monitoring centers—one at Upper and another one in Lower Assam.
He said that GPS facility will be installed in the city buses and other public transport vehicles under ASTC.
Tiwari further added that CCTV will be installed at ASTC workshop in Rupgar and ASTC office in Paltan Bazar in Guwahati.
He informed that 500 old ASTC buses will be repaired and government has sanctioned a fund Rs 500 crore for.
The ASTC will also ply 10 hi-tech city buses in the city soon, he said.
