Thief caught, handed over to police

GUWAHATI, June 14: A thief, Billal Ali (31), was caught by the local people of mbari in the Gotagar area in Maligaon today and handed him over to the police. Ali and another thief entered the house of J Kumar in the wee hours today. The family members then raised a hue and cry, leading the local people to gather and chase them. While Billal was caught after a hot chase, the other thief escaped.
