‘Those who extend service for humanity have no religion’

GUWAHATI, Feb 11: Assam Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that several organizations in India have been rendering services to people, keeping away from publicity. "There's no religion for those who extend services for the cause of humanity," he said.

Taking part in the second day programmes of the Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair being held at Guwahati, Sarma said that the new generation of India has adopted Yoga, Veda, Ayurveda etc.

The three-day-long fair is being organized by the North East Chapter of Hindu Spiritual and Service Foundation. The fair highlights six themes, including conservation of ture, patriotism, respect to elders etc.

Today Guru Pujan and Kanya Pujan have been performed with the participation of hundreds of school students. Different exhibition stalls have also been set up at the fair.
