Torching of ASTC buses condemned

GUWAHATI, March 28: Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) employees, at a meeting held in its campus yesterday, condemned the incident of burning of ASTC buses by a section of miscreants. As many as 16 ASTC buses were torched at Rupgar in the city on February 7 and four buses at Chhaygaon on March 25. The meeting condemned such incidents and warned the conspirators to deists from such works. They demanded a high-level inquiry into the incidents so as to give the conspirators exemplary punishment.
