GUWAHATI, Nov 14: Torn notes of 500 and 1,000 denomitions were found strewn on the road and drain at Chandan gar Path in the Ghoramara area in Bashisstha in the city today. The local people found the torn notes in the morning and informed the police of the matter. The police said that amount could be around Rs 50,000. The police are yet to ascertain if the torn notes are genuine or fake.
