Train from Kamakhya upgraded to LHB coach

GUWAHATI, March 27: Adding one more LHB rake to its fleet NF Railway has decided to upgrade 15668/15667 Kamakhya–Gandhidham Express from conventiol to LHB coach from March 28, 2018. According to a press release, Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches, developed by Linke-Hofmann-Busch of Germany, are designed for an operating speed up to 160 km/hour and could go up to 200 km/hour. Their length of 23.54 metre and a width of 3.24 metre means a higher passenger capacity.

The coaches are considered to be ‘anti-telescopic’, which means they do not get turned over or flip in case of a collision (chiefly head-on).
