Translation of Bhupen's works underway

GUWAHATI, April 26: Bhupen Hazarika Foundation’s first executive meeting was held onboard a ship of the State Inland Water Transport Department in the Fancy Bazar area today. Talking to The Sentinel today, the balladeer’s scion Tez Hazarika said: “The aim and objective of the foundation is to highlight the works of Bhupen Hazarika all over the world by translating them into various languages. Today’s meeting was called to share ideas on implementing some other projects. Translation works into English have been going on smoothly. Effort is on for such translations into Bodo.”

Prominent persolities present at the meeting gave their suggestions for the implementation of the projects.

From April 10 to 25, Tez Hazarika toured various places in Assam seeking suggestions for the project. He also talked to the Centre for the development of Bhupendra Sangeet.
